Bring your dancing shoes, however flat shoes are encouraged. We’ll be bouncing around, so wear comfortable active clothing with freedom of movement.

TEACHER BIO: This beacon of Canadian wonderment, this shimmering Aurora Borealis, has been described as the unwanted lovechild of Tempest Storm and Lucille Ball. She’s Australia’s classiest piece of bacon on stage, but off stage she smashes tinnies like a champ. Chief hobbies include; smothering herself in poutine, drinking maple syrup from a moose skull and playing hockey with her beaver (wink wink). Her favourite food? Well that’s pretty obvious.
She is the one, the only…Miss Maple Rose.
Maple Rose is a household name in the Australian burlesque scene and has recently moved back from the Scandinavian Capital, Stockholm, where she joined the in-house cast at Stockholm's local speakeasy, Melt Bar & Restaurant. Back in Australia, Maple jumped into the producing bracket, and now focuses on expanding the local burlesque community with her small intimate burlesque night at The Woodlands Hotel in Coburg, and Melbourne’s newest variety night - Whoop Dee Doo Revue. You can learn from Maple at her regular dance and technique classes at Maison Burlesque, and catch her at events produced by the school.
Maple won 1st Runner up in Miss Burlesque Australia Grand Final 2018 and is also the current reigning Miss Burlesque Melbourne 2018. With her background in theatre and costume design, and her strong foundations in dance, Maple truly believes in honouring the history of the burlesque art-form while also being true to yourself.
