Are you fan-tastic with fans, but looking to fine tune those skills? In this technique course, Maple Rose will work your biceps, tone your triceps, and loosen up those wrists!
Not only will you gain strength and flexibility to help you fly with ease, we’ll boost your repertoire of moves, tighten those fan grips, transitions, posture, audience engagement, and play around with some fan-cy footwork.
In this course you will learn key skills for fan dancing and flow work, such as:
- Alignment & lines
- Grip Changes
- Zippers and all within the zipper family
- Kaleidescopes/Weaves
- Windmills
- Rollercoasters
This will be a physically intensive class suitable for people of all genders with previous fan dance experience wanting to improve their skills or work towards solo fan dance performance.
Feather fans will be provided by the studio, however if you own your own pair of fans we recommend bringing them each class to train with them.
Please note this is a live in-person casual class located in our Thornbury Studio. Classes can be booked as single classes. It will be live streamed for members of Maison Burlesque Online.
If you would like to book all classes in a term, we recommend purchasing a "Casual Class Pass" to receive a cheaper rate. Class numbers will be capped at a maximum of 14 students.
